Major introduction:
This major was established in 1965. It is the first higher education undergraduate major of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering in Yunnan Province. It is the major of the “Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program” of the Ministry of Education. It passed the China Engineering Education Professional Certification twice in 2015 and 2018.
This major aims to cultivate students who can adapt to the needs of national social and economic development, develop in an all-round way in morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics and labor, have a good foundation in natural science and humanities, acquire basic training in engineering skills and scientific research capabilities, and systematically master the basic theory of water conservancy. Graduates have broad knowledge, strong adaptability, practical ability and innovative spirit. This major trains versatile professionals who can engage in surveying, planning, design, construction, scientific research and management in water conservancy and hydropower and related industries.
This major has a four-year study period and is awarded a bachelor's degree in engineering.
