Major introduction:

This major was established in 2003.

This major cultivates versatile professionals who can meet the needs of national social and economic development, develop in an all-round way in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor, have a solid foundation in natural sciences and humanities, acquire basic training in engineering skills and scientific research capabilities, and systematically master the basic theory of soil and water conservation. Students can master sound and broad knowledge, have strong practical ability and innovative spirit.

This major has a four-year study period and is awarded a bachelor's degree in agriculture.

Curriculum:

Engineering Surveying, Engineering Mechanics, Hydraulics, Geology and Geomorphology, Soil Erosion Principle, Botany, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Technology, Engineering Hydrology and Hydraulic Calculation, Soil and Water Conservation Planning, Forestry Ecological Engineering, Soil and Water Conservation Engineering and Soil Loss Dynamic Monitoring, etc.

Main subject:

Forestry, Hydraulic Engineering, Environmental Science.

Major Features:

Relying on the water conservancy teaching platform, this major trains students by OBE teaching mode, broadens and deepens students' understanding in mathematics, mechanics, engineering geology, engineering hydrology and soil and water conservation engineering construction, and strengthens training of students' “soil and water conservation engineering measures design” and operational ability.

Employment:

Graduates can engage in surveying, planning, design, monitoring, construction, management, scientific research, teaching and management of soil and water conservation and desertification control in the departments related to water conservancy, rural agriculture, forestry and grass industry, environmental protection, natural resources, emergency management departments and so on.
