The major was established in 2014.
This major aims to cultivate students who meet the needs of the country's social and economic development, develop in an all-round way in morality, intelligence, physique, beauty and labor, and have a good foundation in natural science and humanities. Students can obtain basic training in engineering skills and scientific research capabilities, and systematically master basic and broad knowledge in water conservancy with strong practical ability and innovative spirit. Graduates can be versatile professionals engaging in planning, design, hydrological forecasting, water resources and environmental protection, scientific research and management in the fields of hydrology and water resources and other related industries.
This major has a four-year study period and is awarded a bachelor's degree in engineering.

Major Features:
Relying on the accelerating construction project of Yunnan urban-rural integration and water network, this major expands urban water affairs. At the same time, in combination with the current situation of the water environment of plateau reservoirs and lakes in Yunnan, it focuses on the ecological protection and restoration of plateau lake basins and cultivates professionals serving at local grass-roots level.
